The Personalities

Nature enthusiasts, snorkelers, families, large groups, explorers/everybody.

Moments

Learning what underwater Stalagmites are. Carefully climbing into the Blue Lagoon Grotto Caves. A blue hue you know you’ll never forget. Swimming in the so-clear-they-could-be-invisible waters of Rio Da Prata. Large fish swimming next to you as you float by. Mystified.

Best Visiting Months

December-March when vegetation is green, animals are about and the waterfalls are flowing.

Why stay

The town of Bonito is known for its fantastic eco-tourism. For those wanting to explore its many attractions, the Aguas de Bonito has created the idyllic tropical starting point for these activities.  Colourfully decorated rooms with bamboo accents designed for any type of traveler. Sink into a crocheted hammock and sleep the day away or saunter over to the on-site spa.

Why wander

You came to wander. The town of Bonito (meaning “beautiful”) is a famous spot in the region of Mato Grosso du Sul, Brazil which sits 100km from the phenomenal Pantanal wetlands. Exploring beyond Bonito you’ll find many natural gems where wildlife from jaguars to toucans hide in the lush lands, but in Bonito itself you’ll see some once-in-a-life-time astonishing natural beauty.

Indulge in

Pastels (a Brazilian pastry) filled with guava jam from local restaurant Pastelaria Pastel Bonito. Fresh fruit. Drink sugar cane spirits.

Getting There

Fly to Campo Grande and take a bus or private van to Bonito. Getting around Bonito you will need to rent bikes or hire motorized taxis as there are no cars/car rentals.
