Why stay
Tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and the dramatic rise of Table Mountain, POD Camps Bay distills the essence of Cape Town’s coastal allure — where urban sophistication meets untamed nature. The boutique hotel sits steps from the sand, offering uninterrupted views of the bay and the Twelve Apostles mountain range. Every element — from its glass walls to its natural stone and timber palette — invites the outdoors in, blurring the boundary between architecture and landscape.
Inside, the design is sleek yet warm, defined by South African craftsmanship and minimalist luxury. Suites open to private decks with ocean or mountain views, while sunlight moves through the space like a living sculpture. Here, simplicity is the new indulgence — clean lines, crisp linens, and the elemental luxury of air, light, and space.
What sets POD apart is its effortless balance between seclusion and connection. It’s a retreat for travelers who crave both calm and vitality — a quiet refuge steps from Cape Town’s most vibrant stretch of coastline. The rhythm of the waves, the hum of nearby cafés, and the mountain’s still presence create a harmony that feels both grounding and alive.
Why wander
Beyond the hotel, Cape Town unfolds as a playground of contrasts — mountain and sea, city and wild. Hike Lion’s Head at sunrise, take the cable car up Table Mountain, or surf at Muizenberg Beach. Explore the art galleries, wine bars, and design studios of the Woodstock district, or spend the afternoon wine tasting in Constantia, South Africa’s oldest vineyard region just a short drive away.
A scenic coastal drive leads to Cape Point, where two oceans meet and the cliffs drop dramatically into turquoise waters. Along the way, visit Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins, or stop at local farm stalls for fresh figs, wine, and wild honey. Whether by foot, car, or board, Cape Town’s landscape invites constant discovery — always framed by the ocean’s edge.
Indulge in
Breakfasts of tropical fruit and locally roasted coffee, followed by fresh seafood and South African wines by the pool. Evenings bring signature cocktails and mezze platters against a backdrop of orange skies and rolling surf. For those who prefer to wander, the nearby Camps Bay strip is alive with world-class restaurants blending African, Mediterranean, and Asian influences — each one a celebration of Cape Town’s diverse, sensory cuisine.
Getting There
