WHY STAY
Set across ten hectares of lush countryside near San Rafael, Can Lluc Boutique Country Hotel & Villas occupies a tranquil valley in the ecological heart of Ibiza. Framed by rolling pine-covered hills, carob trees, fig orchards, and ancient olive groves, the property offers an authentic, quiet alternative to the island's bustling coastal scene. Situated just minutes from both Ibiza Town and San Antonio Bay, the location bridges complete rural seclusion with effortless access to all corners of the island.
Accommodations consist of 20 individually styled rooms, suites, and private villas nestled within Mediterranean gardens. The estate blends historical charm with modern comfort, offering accommodations in the converted historic farmhouse alongside contemporary stand-alone villas. Light-filled interiors feature original exposed stone walls, rustic wooden ceiling beams, terracotta floors, private terraces, and open-plan layouts, with select villas boasting private plunge pools, fireplaces, and outdoor rain showers.
Originally a 200-year-old family farm belonging to grandfather José Prats, the property was meticulously restored by owners Lucas Prats and Tina Soriano alongside Ibizan architect José Torres. The architecture respects traditional Balearic craftsmanship, seamlessly integrating former stables and stone barns into a cohesive, low-slung sanctuary. Wellness centers on an outdoor infinity pool surrounded by Balinese daybeds, an outdoor Jacuzzi, a glass-encased fitness room, and an intimate spa with a Finnish sauna, steam bath, and holistic treatments using local botanicals.
WHY WANDER
The surrounding valley and estate grounds offer private walking trails that wind through Mediterranean orchards up to a scenic lookout point, ideal for sunrise strolls, quiet meditation, or evening sunset views over the hills.
A short drive leads to the charming nearby village of San Rafael, known for its traditional pottery workshops, artisan craft heritage, and relaxed local dining. Guests can also explore nearby coastal highlights, ranging from quiet, pine-fringed swimming coves like Cala Salada and Cala Gracioneta to the vibrant historic streets and ancient stone ramparts of Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town.
Beyond the countryside, travelers can set out on sea kayaking excursions along hidden sea caves, charter a private boat to the neighboring island of Formentera, or practice yoga under the pine canopy, returning each evening to the peaceful silence of the rural valley.
