JAMAICA
JAMAICA
Lovers chasing sunsets. Divers of heart and sea. Ocean whisperers. Barefoot romantics.
Cliff diving into turquoise water. A private candlelit dinner in a sea cave. Rum punch at sunset with reggae in the air. Lounging in a hammock carved into the cliff. Long baths with the windows wide open to the waves. Waking to salt wind and mango light.
November to April brings warm, dry days and glowing sunsets.
May to early July offers quiet, slower rhythms with the island in bloom.
Even in rainy season (August–October), the skies shift fast and the magic deepens — the caves become even more alive with sound and stormlight.
The Caves is where romance and raw nature meet — a hand-carved hotel perched on Negril’s limestone cliffs, where every suite feels like a secret carved out of stone. This is not your typical beachfront resort. Just ten thatched cottages and suites tucked into a lush, ocean-facing jungle, connected by coral pathways and candlelit corners. Private, deeply personal, and full of soul.
Every room is a one-of-a-kind creation — organic lines, driftwood beds, stained glass, outdoor showers, ocean views, and nothing but breeze between you and the blue. And then there are the caves: natural sea-carved caverns where guests dine by lantern light, swim, float, or fall in love all over again.
It’s adults-only, all-inclusive, and full of warmth and heart. The kind of place where time disappears, and the soundtrack is laughter, lapping waves, and a Bob Marley track drifting through the leaves.
Here, wandering means cliff walks, morning yoga by the sea, snorkeling into secret grottoes, or descending into a cave for a massage on a stone ledge above the water. Explore Negril’s coast, visit a local rum distillery, or take a slow bicycle ride through the hills. But most days, the magic happens right here — between the cliffs and the sky, between the ocean and your soul.
Jamaican cuisine elevated with intimacy and soul — fresh lobster, jerk chicken grilled to perfection, callaloo, coconut desserts, and tropical fruits so ripe they taste like sunshine. Meals are made to savor, whether served poolside, in the thatched dining room, or in your own private cave. The cliffside Blackwell Rum Bar — hidden in a candlelit grotto — is the place for sundowners, storytelling, and music that lingers long after.
Fly into Montego Bay Airport (MBJ) and take a 1.5- to 2-hour drive west along Jamaica’s coast to Negril. The journey winds past sugarcane fields, colorful villages, and glimpses of turquoise sea. The final stretch leads you down a quiet lane to the cliffs.
The Caves supports local farmers and fishermen through its sourcing, recycles rainwater, and minimizes plastic wherever possible. The kitchen composts, the spa uses natural ingredients, and much of the property is built from reclaimed stone and wood. They work closely with the local community and prioritize cultural authenticity over commercial gloss.
