Arctic Bath

SWEDEN

RIVER

Arctic Bath is a floating wellness experience, built on Sweden’s Lule River and surrounded by the taiga forest of the Scandinavian north. Designed by architects Bertil Harström and Johan Kauppi, the unique circular structure was built with pine logs, and inspired by the historical timber industry as a reminder of the important role forests play in Sweden. The hotel’s 12 rooms on the river’s edge echo the surrounding landscape - whether it’s the floating water cabins or the land suites. The minimalist Nordic design of natural sustainable wood, stone floors, and reindeer skins create the perfect hygge atmosphere you have come to expect. Floating passages, glass walls, and sky-gazing decks ensure the elements are at the forefront while leaving a minimal environmental footprint behind. Take part in the ultimate hot and cold water therapy. Enjoy the outdoor ice bath filled with river water, three different saunas, and a hot tub. Arctic Bath leads one to discover the authentic Scandinavian north, and a one-of-kind wellness experience worth the journey.
